This was the largest drawing I've ever done, and the most fun I've ever had drawing, although the inspiration was far from amusing. I used imagery to compare the inequality and elitism of the first decade of the new century in American politics to the reign of Louis XV. I juxtaposed images from Hurricane Katrina with master copies of Rococo paintings, notably "The Swing" by Fragonard. Click on images on the right to get pop-up views.
